I wasn't verbally abusive or anything, but I was against rights for queer people and thought they were fundamentally broken in some way. Fortunately, I got deprogrammed by actually meeting gay people. I was straight the whole time. Still straight. Just no longer afraid of queer folks, who are now a significant component of my circle of friends and family. |
